Mitchell Water recently provided sponsorship to the Miles Senior Citizens Club to launch a fitness program designed especially for seniors and individuals with special needs.

The program officially started in July with twice weekly sessions including Pilates, Yoga and general fitness supervised by experienced instructors.

We are happy to hear that the sponsorship has been contributing positively to members’ health and providing some fun and enjoyment along the way.

Jane Nutley, Secretary of the club and instigator of the program has advised that the elders of the club are really enjoying the sessions and “shining with enthusiasm.”

The Mitchell Water Plant department is excited to unveil the stunning new artwork adorning their fleet, created by local Roma artist Lane Brookes of Deadly Way. This vibrant artwork is one of three pieces commissioned by Mitchell Water, reflecting our commitment to supporting local talent and celebrating cultural expression.

Lane Brookes’ designs beautifully capture the essence of the region, and we are proud to showcase his work on our vehicles. The artwork not only enhances the appearance of our fleet but also reinforces our connection to the communities we serve.

This collaboration with a local artist is a testament to our dedication to promoting and preserving the unique cultural heritage of our area. We look forward to sharing these beautiful designs with the broader community as our fleet travels across the region.

Mitchell Water is proud to have recently sponsored the Tara Festival of Culture and Camel Races, a vibrant event that has been a highlight in the region since 2001. This 3-day biennial festival celebrates the rich cultural diversity of the community, bringing together locals and visitors alike for a memorable experience.

During the festival, Mitchell Water’s Project HSSE Manager, Sarah, and Project Administrator, Jess, had the honor of presenting the trophy to the winning rider and camel. It was a fantastic opportunity to support a unique event that showcases the spirit and diversity of the region.

We are delighted to be part of such an important cultural event and look forward to supporting the Tara Festival of Culture and Camel Races for years to come.
